Remote Irrigation Monitoring Systems - supplied by WIN

In the summer of 2008, WIN provided the equipment and technical expertise for a remote irrigation monitoring system project in Manitoba. The project saw the monitoring equipment mounted on pivot irrigation equipment in potato crops. The grower was able to remotely monitor soil moisture, rainfall, evapo-transpiration, flow, pipeline water pressure and pivot position. This producer was able to access this information 24/7 from his farm office or from his home, miles from the field location.
